Saturday 11/5/2007: Boraulf (RIV) and Hammershaker (NUM) win Gandalf Pitcher Award
The Shire Conference Gandalf Pitcher Award winner was announced today, with Rivendell's southpaw Boreathor Boraulf taking home the desired trophy. He certainly earned it, he struck fear into hitters all year long. His ERA of 2.62 helped him to a 24-7 record this year. He struck out 324 and walked 57 in 305.1 innings. Boreathor has pitched 2 shutouts and 7 complete games. He's 1st in the Shire Conference in ERA and 1st in wins! Boraulf wins the award for the 3rd time in his 12-year career. The 2007 Mordor Conference Gandalf Pitcher Award winner is from Numenor this year. Prilak Hammershaker put together impressive numbers on the mound this season as well. This season Hammershaker compiled an ERA of 2.41, going 22-10 in 42 starts. He fanned 266 while giving up 219 hits in 283.2 innings. He's 1st in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 1st in wins! Hammershaker wins the award for the 2nd time in his 5-year career.

Saturday 11/5/2007: *Squishmasher (RIV) and Imrilron (MM) win Sam Gamgee Batter
Rivendell's third baseman Loopy *Squishmasher had a fabulous season, no doubt about it. The Shire Conference shared this opinion and names the 25 year old the Sam Gamgee Batter winner! This year *Squishmasher drove in 130 and scored 124 runs while batting .345 with 45 taters. He's 1st in the Shire Conference in batting, 2nd in homeruns and 4th in RBI! A season for the ages earned Misty Mountain's leftfielder Isilborn Imrilron the Mordor Conference Sam Gamgee Batter this year. His season numbers are: .327 AVG, 192 hits, 30 doubles, 3 triples and 59 bombs, along with 134 RBI and 112 runs scored. He's 5th in the Mordor Conference in batting, 1st in homeruns and 2nd in RBI! Imrilron wins the award for the 3rd time in his 9-year career.

Saturday 11/5/2007: Peatfingers and Orebearer receive Frodo Rookie Award
Samwise Peatfingers was named the Shire Conference Frodo Rookie Award winner today. Bucklebury's first baseman put up pretty good numbers for a rookie this year. This 24 year old kid will probably have a long and successful career! His season numbers are: .297 AVG, 196 hits, 21 doubles, no triples and 40 bombs, along with 141 RBI and 84 runs scored. He's 2nd in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 5th in homeruns! Getting an award is a nice way to start a career. Numenor's Misil Orebearer smiled as he was named the Mordor Conference Frodo Rookie Award winner. This season Orebearer compiled an ERA of 2.92, going 21-2 in 39 starts. He fanned 220 while giving up 221 hits in 262 innings. He has 2 complete games and 2 shutouts. He's 8th in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 2nd in wins!

Friday 10/21/2007: Begrin *Starsley drills 5 hits
GREY HAVENS - On Friday, Grey Havens' shortstop Begrin *Starsley displayed his sensational ability to handle the bat against Misty Mountain, punishing their pitchers with five hits. Number 1 in the 1st inning accounted for a two-run double. His 3rd hit, a two-run homerun off Tavus Legithraviel in the 6th inning, landed an estimated 400 feet from home plate. A 399 foot drive to left-center marked his 5th hit, a three-run homerun off Vamsh Ratchewer in the 8th inning. He collected singles in the 4th inning and in the 7th inning (two RBIs). Begrin scored 3 runs, and he collected 9 RBI as well!

Tuesday 10/4/2007: Misty Mountain's Bugbearripper severely injured
MISTY MOUNTAIN - Misty Mountain is without its right-hander Eralak Bugbearripper for at least 6-7 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Theodore *Nazgul in a game against Dunharrow. His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. After being taken to a local hospital, Bugbearripper was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Ruptured Tricep Tendon. This season Bugbearripper compiled an ERA of 2.64, going 18-7 in 37 starts. He fanned 223 while giving up 189 hits in 235.2 innings. He's 4th in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 4th in wins!

Monday 10/3/2007: *the Obtuse (MRA) and Elrilas (DUN) win P.O.W. award
Moria's third baseman Gabzog *the Obtuse had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the Shire Conference Player of the Week. Gabzog pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .400 with 5 HR and 8 RBI while slugging 1.400. Kimvia Elrilas wins his 1st Player of the Week award. Mordor Conference pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. Kimvia went 8 for 20 (.400), while hitting 2 HR and collecting 7 RBI.

Boreathor Boraulf pitched like a legend in September, and the Shire Conference named him Pitcher of the Month for his extraordinary performance. His ERA of just 1.91 helped him to a 5-0 record in September. He worked 56.2 innings, striking out 66 hitters while walking 6. Boreathor pitched a shutout as well. In 40 starts this year Boreathor struck out 313 batters in 294 innings of work. His ERA is 2.54, his record 23-6. He has 7 complete games and 2 shutouts. He's 1st in the Shire Conference in ERA and 1st in wins! It's the 2nd time that the Mordor Conference Pitcher of the Month award goes to Numenor's pitcher Prilak Hammershaker. His ERA of just 1.36 helped him to a 5-1 record in September. He worked 46.1 innings, striking out 32 hitters while walking 12. His ERA of 2.40 helped him to a 22-9 record this year. He struck out 250 and walked 48 in 269.2 innings. He's 1st in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 1st in wins!

Saturday 10/1/2007: Gondolin's Orcdelver earns Batter of the Month award
The Shire Conference Batter of the Month award goes to Mefur Orcdelver, Gondolin's starting third baseman. Mefur went 38 for 121 (.314), while hitting 10 HR and collecting 30 RBI. This year Orcdelver drove in 100 and scored 84 runs while batting .290 with 33 bombs. The Batter of the Month award in the Mordor Conference goes to Dagorlad's Marus *Alu this time, as the shortstop displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Marus pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .444 with 4 and 24 RBI while slugging .626. His season features a batting average of .293 (166 hits in 566 AB), 21 doubles, 6 triples and 10 taters. *Alu collected 69 RBI and 94 runs as well.

Thursday 9/29/2007: Moria's Gabzog *the Obtuse has great day, hits three longballs
GONDOLIN - Gabzog *the Obtuse powered Moria to a 10-2 win over Gondolin. He did it in style by homering three times. In the 1st inning he unloaded a solo homerun off Beogast Belol. His 2nd shot, a two-run homerun off Eeolbo Eläril in the 7th inning, cleared the fence in right-center. His 3rd blast, a two-run homerun off Eeolbo Eläril in the 9th inning, landed an estimated 388 feet from home plate. Overall he finished 3 for 5, scoring three times and collecting 5 RBI. His homerun total this year is 22, along with 87 RBI. Gandaudur Eowöldor was the last player to hit 3 homeruns in a game, doing it 8/7/2007.

Monday 9/26/2007: Player of the Week honors go to Belebrindil and Imrilron
Arwildoc Belebrindil wins his 3rd Player of the Week award. Shire Conference pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. In 23 at bats he hit .478 with 4 HR and 12 RBI. The Player of the Week award in the Mordor Conference goes to Misty Mountain's Isilborn Imrilron this time, as the leftfielder displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. He had an on base percentage of .464 and hit .400, while driving in 12 runs.

Sunday 9/25/2007: Vorseen Timbor NO-HITS Dunharrow
GONDOR - With his best stuff going, Gondor's Vorseen Timbor overmatched the opposing hitters all day long. Dunharrow had no chance, getting NO hits against the right-hander. Timbor (9-11) fanned 9 and walked 1, throwing 111 pitches. 'Wow, what a nice day. I guess I had a good breakfast today. That's a dream coming true for me!' Seathor Radithor helped Timbor at the plate, he went 3 for 4, going deep twice, scoring 2 runs and collecting 3 RBI. The final score of the game was 8-0.

Sunday 9/25/2007: Dolok Bonemangler out for 7 weeks
NUMENOR - When it rains, it pours. Numenor's southpaw Dolok Bonemangler will not pitch for at least 7 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Misty Mountain where he left the field in the 4th inning. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Pulled Tricep Muscle. Dolok has a record of 17-5 this season, with an ERA of 3.13. In 218.2 Innings he was able to strike out 202 batters. He's 10th in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 4th in wins!

Friday 9/23/2007: Mundin Elfplate out for 5 weeks
RIVENDELL - Rivendell is without its right-hander Mundin Elfplate for at least 5 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Denar Axecutter in a game against Gondolin. His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Bone Chips Shoulder. Opposing players hit .173 against Mundin this season. While posting an ERA of 3.24 he went 17-5 in 37 starts, fanning 331 and walking 116 hitters. He's 5th in the Shire Conference in ERA and 6th in wins!

Monday 9/19/2007: Mirkwood's Graniteslinger wins Player of the Week award
The Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Valin Graniteslinger, Mirkwood's starting first baseman. Graniteslinger helped his team with an average of .360 and 11 RBI in 25 at bats. While compiling an on base percentage of .293, Valin hit .253 and slugged .504. He has collected 119 runs batted in this year. He's 4th in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 5th in homeruns! It's the 1st time that the Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Numenor's pitcher Misil Orebearer. Misil went 2-0 with an ERA of 1.98, while fanning 12 in 13.2 innings of work. His ERA of 2.79 helped him to a 18-1 record this year. He struck out 205 and walked 72 in 235.1 innings. He has 2 complete games and 2 shutouts. He's 7th in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 3rd in wins!

Wednesday 9/14/2007: Carrock's Goragol out for the season
CARROCK - Carrock's catcher Greogrin Goragol will miss the rest of the season. He injured himself running the bases in the game between Carrock and Wilderland. The injury didn't seem to be serious the moment it happened. But suddenly Goragol collapsed in pain and had to be carried off the field. After x-rays were taken the diagnosis did not surprise many: Torn Back Muscle. Surgery will be performed next week. His season numbers are: .312 AVG, 134 hits, 34 doubles, 3 triples and 26 taters, along with 71 RBI and 89 runs scored.

Monday 9/12/2007: Goramir and *Elensar win Player of the Week award
Grimli Goramir wins his 0th Player of the Week award. Shire Conference pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. In 18 at bats he hit .611 with 4 HR and 8 RBI. The Player of the Week award in the Mordor Conference goes to Minas Morgul's Maeglin *Elensar this time, as the pitcher displayed the best pitching perfomance in his league. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 0.00 while going 2-0. He pitched two shutouts! This season *Elensar compiled an ERA of 3.84, going 8-12 in 22 starts. He fanned 161 while giving up 196 hits in 194.1 innings. Maeglin has pitched 2 shutouts and 3 complete games.

Monday 9/5/2007: Boreathor Boraulf quiets Bree bats with shutout
BREE - Great days are rare. But not for Rivendell's left-hander Boreathor Boraulf. Bree found out the hard way that he is among the leagues top pitchers, getting just 2 hits. It's his 2nd shutout this season, and the 21st time he has done it in his career. 'I really like to play baseball, and I love the way I was able to play it today.' Boraulf (19-6) fanned 8 and walked 3, throwing 117 pitches. Ruzdug the Wicked provided Rivendell with the offense Boraulf needed as he stroked 3 hits in 4 AB, hitting a homerun, hitting a double. Rivendell scored 3 runs on 5 hits.

It's the 5th time that the Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Rivendell's third baseman Loopy *Squishmasher. Loopy was on fire, hitting .500 with 2 HR and 6 RBI. The Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Sruukor Mansmasher, Misty Mountain's starting centerfielder. In 23 at bats he hit .522 with 3 HR and 6 RBI.

Thursday 9/1/2007: Pitcher of the Month award winners announced
Winner of this months Shire Conference Pitcher of the Month award is Lake Town's Gwomer Grailas. He had an ERA of just 1.39 in 45.1 innings of work in which he struck out 51 hitters. His record in August is 5-0. Opposing players hit .222 against Gwomer this season. While posting an ERA of 2.74 he went 17-5 in 30 starts, fanning 211 and walking 38 hitters. He's 3rd in the Shire Conference in ERA and 3rd in wins! Winner of this months Shire Conference Pitcher of the Month award is Lake Town's Nasil Oresplitter. His record of 4-0 in 6 was among the leagues best this month. In 45.1 innings of work he allowed just 25 hits while striking out 45, compiling an ERA of just 1.79. Nasil pitched a shutout as well. His ERA of 2.76 helped him to a 14-3 record this year. He struck out 174 and walked 64 in 179.2 innings. Nasil has pitched one shutout and 3 complete games. He's 6th in the Shire Conference in ERA and 6th in wins!

Thursday 9/1/2007: Red hot Foxburr and Gwildur win Batter of the Month award
Minto Foxburr of Bucklebury wins his 1st Batter of the Month award for putting up the best numbers in the Shire Conference. He hit .407 with 24 RBI and slugged .637 in 91 at bats. Minto has gone 155 for 437 (.355) this season, hitting 13 homeruns and driving in 101 runs. He has scored 86 runs on his own. He's 2nd in the Shire Conference in batting and 7th in RBI! The Batter of the Month award in the Mordor Conference goes to Numenor's Imredoc Gwildur this time, as the first baseman displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Imredoc was on fire, hitting .357 with 6 homeruns and 30 RBI. Gwildur has hit for a .285 average this season. He has 44 extra base hits along with 234 total bases, resulting in a .483 slugging percentage.

Tuesday 8/30/2007: Nasil Oresplitter turns in great performance against Dunharrow
DEAD MARSHES - All you need to win is a dominating pitching performance. And Dead Marshes' Nasil Oresplitter did so today, in a 2-hit shutout against Dunharrow. Oresplitter (14-3) struck out 6 and issued 2 BB, throwing 64 of 107 pitches for strikes. 'I felt early that I was on top of my game. Fortunately I was able to keep that feeling the entire game.' Dead Marshes' third baseman Sruulak Mooncutter finished with 1 hit in 3 AB, blasting a homerun, and driving in 2 runs. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Oresplitter. Dead Marshes improved its record to 76-53, scoring 3 runs on 6 hits.

It's the 1st time that the Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Minas Tirith's pitcher Periago Goodbody. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 1.08 while going 2-0. He hurled a shutout as well. This season Goodbody compiled an ERA of 5.31, going 4-18 in 27 starts. He fanned 73 while giving up 201 hits in 167.2 innings. He has 3 complete games and 2 shutouts. The Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Wong Trollraper, Numenor's starting third baseman. He hit .480 with 7 RBI and slugged .800 in 25 at bats. The Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Ban Arwodur, one of Bree's best starting pitchers. Arwodur was overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 0.00. Thursday 8/18/2007: Rocco Dwarftosser shuts out Rivendell on one hit
GONDOLIN - With his best stuff going, Gondolin's Rocco Dwarftosser overmatched the opposing hitters all day long. Rivendell had no chance, collecting just one hit against the lefty. 'Wow, what a nice day. I guess I had a good breakfast today.' Dwarftosser (6-10) struck out 5 and walked 2, throwing 61 of 100 pitches for strikes. The hitting star for Gondolin was centerfielder Denar Axecutter, he finished 4 for 5, doubling once, scoring two runs. Gondolin improved its record to 48-71, scoring 9 runs on 12 hits.

GONDOLIN - When it rains, it pours. Gondolin's southpaw Geagast Gamialob will not pitch for at least 5-6 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Rivendell where he left the field in the 4th inning. After being taken to a local hospital, Gamialob was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Strained Bicep Muscle. His ERA of 7.00 helped him to a 1-5 record this year. He struck out 34 and walked 21 in 36 innings.

The Shire Conference's best player of the week was Carrock's Siloja Glebrildur, who wins the award for the 4th time in his career. Siloja was on fire, hitting .450 with 3 HR and 6 RBI. Boran Armormasher from Isengard wins his 4th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. He had an on base percentage of .480 and hit .429, while driving in 8 runs. Armormasher has walked 88 times this year and posts a .478 OBP. While batting .349, 130 for 373, he has driven in 70 runs. He's 3rd in the Mordor Conference in batting!

Monday 8/8/2007: Ramon Pedro dominates Bywater, gives up just one hit
BYWATER - It was a great day for Lake Town's right-hander Ramon Pedro. The 31-year old recorded his first career shutout, a 1-hitter, against Bywater on Monday. Pedro (5-11) struck out 9 and walked 4, throwing 73 of 125 pitches for strikes. 'I was hitting my spots. Now I'll start concentrating on my next start, and hopefully it will work again.' The hitting star for Lake Town was shortstop Silas *Debuugger, he collected 3 hits in 6 trips to the plate, and driving in 3 runs. Lake Town scored 13 runs on 15 hits.

Monday 8/8/2007: Old Forest's Fistslammer out for 4-5 weeks
OLD FOREST - When it rains, it pours. Old Forest's right-hander Ligor Fistslammer will not pitch for at least 4-5 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Rivendell where he left the field in the 1st inning. Old Forest wasted no time and rushed him to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that Fistslammer had suffered a Inflamed Rotator Cuff Muscle. His ERA of 6.25 helped him to a 6-8 record this year. He struck out 152 and walked 63 in 116.2 innings.

Minto Foxburr from Bucklebury wins his 2nd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Shire Conference. Minto pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .542 with 1 HR and 6 RBI while slugging .875. While compiling an on base percentage of .446, Minto hit .354 and slugged .549. He has collected 83 runs batted in this year. He's 4th in the Shire Conference in batting and 7th in RBI! The Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Gandaudur Eowöldor, Isengard's starting leftfielder. He had an on base percentage of .483 and hit .400, while driving in 11 runs.

Sunday 8/7/2007: Gandaudur Eowöldor slams 4 HR
ISENGARD - Gandaudur Eowöldor was in a groove, and the results spoke for themselves. He powered Isengard to a 15-1 win over Dagorlad by homering four times. His 1st blast, a solo homerun off Gromwakh the Masher in the 1st inning, landed an estimated 396 feet from home plate. Number 2 in the 4th inning, a shot estimated at 375 feet, cleared the wall in right field. A pitch from Isthor Elóldor in the 6th inning left his bat for a solo homerun, landing 446 feet from home plate in center field. In the 8th inning he unloaded a solo homerun off Franak Derroeater. Overall he stroked 4 hits in 5 AB, scoring FOUR runs with 6 RBI.

Sunday 8/7/2007: Mirkwood's Ballscarer severely injured
MIRKWOOD - Mirkwood's catcher Curt Ballscarer suffered a serious injury when he was struck by a pitch from Bree's Arweolbo Arweoden. He collapsed in pain and was helped off the field. Ballscarer will probaby miss 5-6 weeks. Mirkwood wasted no time and rushed him to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that Ballscarer had suffered a Broken Cheekbone. Curt has gone 134 for 380 (.353) this season, hitting 7 bombs and driving in 58 runs. He has scored 61 runs on his own. He's 4th in the Shire Conference in batting!

Monday 8/1/2007: Rohan's Irontearer named Pitcher of the Month
The best month of July in the Shire Conference certainly had Carrock's right-hander Zuthor Toviel, earning him the Pitcher of the Month award. He struck out 32 hitters in his 6 starts, putting together a record of 4-0 while pitching 32 innings. His ERA in July was 1.85. Zuthor pitched a shutout as well. Zuthor has a record of 7-8 this season, with an ERA of 3.74. In 137 Innings he was able to strike out 89 batters. Zuthor has pitched 3 shutouts and 4 complete games. It's the 3rd time that the Mordor Conference Pitcher of the Month award goes to Rohan's pitcher Libur Irontearer. His record of 3-0 in 5 was among the leagues best this month. In 32.2 innings of work he allowed just 19 hits while striking out 34, compiling an ERA of just 0.83. His ERA of 2.45 helped him to a 14-3 record this year. He struck out 152 and walked 30 in 161.1 innings. He's 1st in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 1st in wins!

Denaigol has gone 118 for 350 (.337) this season, hitting 8 homeruns and driving in 56 runs. He has scored 60 runs on his own. He's 9th in the Shire Conference in batting! Rafur Rockback of Rohan wins his 3rd Batter of the Month award for putting up the best numbers in the Mordor Conference. In 77 at bats he hit .377 with 10 HR and 28 RBI. The Shire Conference's best player of the week was Bywater's Neegar *Nosegobbler, who wins the award for the 1st time in his career. Neegar pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .440 with 3 HR and 9 RBI while slugging 1.080. He hit in every game this week and extended his hitting streak to 8 games. It's the 1st time that the Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Dead Marshes' second baseman Mauhur *the Looter. He had an on base percentage of .519 and hit .500, while driving in 9 runs. *the Looter has walked 38 times this year and posts a .371 OBP. While batting .308, 121 for 393, he has driven in 56 runs.

Sunday 7/31/2007: Hoisil Goldfist punishes Dagorlad with five hits, cycle
DAGORLAD - Hoisil Goldfist hits 'em where they ain't. Dagorlad certainly agrees as Weathertop's centerfielder unloaded five hits and hitting for the cycle. A single in the 1st off Gromwakh the Masher accounted for his 1st hit. His 2nd hit was a RBI double off Gromwakh the Masher in the 3rd inning. MIRKWOOD - Mirkwood's Minto Gamwich suffered a serious injury Saturday in a game against Moria. Gamwich fell down while running the bases and couldn't get up without help. He will miss probably 6 weeks. After being taken to a local hospital, Gamwich was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Pulled Achilles Tendon. His season features a batting average of .268 (94 hits in 351 AB), 18 doubles, 4 triples and 11 homeruns. Gamwich collected 46 RBI and 71 runs as well.

Friday 7/29/2007: Wonai Trollprodder dominates Isengard, gives up just 2 hits
ROHAN - Isengard's hitters looked uncomfortable, and Rohan's Wonai Trollprodder didn't help them. The southpaw fired his 2nd shutout of the season, a 2-hitter. Trollprodder (8-6) struck out 6 and issued 3 BB, throwing 67 of 124 pitches for strikes. 'Wow, what a nice day. I guess I had a good breakfast today.' The hitting star for Rohan was catcher Rafur Rockback, he stroked 3 hits in 5 AB, hitting two dingers, doubling once, scoring 2 runs and collecting 5 RBI. Friday 7/29/2007: Elrond *Hubbard on fire, crushes three
CARROCK - Elrond *Hubbard was in a groove, and the results spoke for themselves. He powered Old Forest to a 11-5 win over Carrock by homering three times. A pitch from Nilcair Nilcarion in the 1st inning left his bat for a three-run homerun, landing 366 feet from home plate in right field. His 2nd shot, a two-run homerun off Nilcair Nilcarion in the 3rd inning, cleared the fence in left field. Number 3 in the 9th inning, a shot estimated at 398 feet, cleared the wall in right field. Overall he stroked 3 hits in 4 AB, scoring FOUR times and driving in 7 runs.

Monday 7/25/2007: Player of the Week honors go to Graniteslinger and Chubb
The Shire Conference's best player of the week was Mirkwood's Valin Graniteslinger, who wins the award for the 5th time in his career. He hit .441 with 14 RBI and slugged .794 in 34 at bats. This year Graniteslinger drove in 85 and scored 51 runs while batting .256 with 21 taters. He's 3rd in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 7th in homeruns! The Mordor Conference's best player of the week was Minas Morgul's Tanta Chubb, who wins the award for the 2nd time in his career. Chubb helped his team with an average of .464 and 6 RBI in 28 at bats.

Friday 7/22/2007: Perian Moraden socks five hits for Carrock
MINAS TIRITH - Carrock's centerfielder Perian Moraden accomplished a difficult feat in a 19-2 win over Minas Tirith, drilling five hits to improve his career batting average to .258! His 4th hit, a two-run homerun off Meraudoc Isugol in the 8th inning, cleared the fence in right field. A 368 foot drive to right field marked his 5th hit, a three-run homerun off Meraudoc Isugol in the 9th inning. He had singles in the 4th , in the 5th (two RBIs) and in the 7th inning . Perian scored 4 runs, and he collected 7 RBI as well! His 5 hit performance increases his batting average to .239. Carrock improved its record to 52-44, scoring 19 runs on 20 hits.

Tuesday 7/19/2007: Season ending injury strikes Carrock's *Rider
CARROCK - Carrock's second baseman Trik *Rider will miss the rest of the season. He injured himself running the bases in the game between Carrock and Rivendell. The injury didn't seem to be serious the moment it happened. But suddenly *Rider collapsed in pain and had to be carried off the field. *Rider was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Torn Posterior Cruciate Ligament. He has hit 16 bombs while batting .390 this season. His 134 hits and 36 walks add up to a .451 on-base percentage. He's 1st in the Shire Conference in batting!

Monday 7/18/2007: Player of the Week honors go to Imrilron and Bloodaxe
The Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Isilborn Imrilron, Old Forest's starting leftfielder. Isilborn pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .455 with 4 HR and 8 RBI while slugging 1.091. This year Imrilron drove in 81 and scored 66 runs while batting .342 with 35 bombs. He's 6th in the Shire Conference in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI! The Player of the Week award in the Mordor Conference goes to Misty Mountain's Bagwurz Bloodaxe this time, as the catcher displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. Bagwurz pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .647 with 2 HR and 6 RBI while slugging 1.059. Bloodaxe has walked 24 times this year and posts a .371 OBP. While batting .327, 98 for 300, he has driven in 53 runs. He's 7th in the Mordor Conference in batting!

Saturday 7/16/2007: Isilborn Imrilron pounds three dingers
WILDERLAND - Isilborn Imrilron can hit'em a long way, and Wilderland pitchers couldn't smile about that today. Old Forest's leftfielder unloaded three bombs, adding to his reputation of being one of the best power hitters in the game. His 1st shot, a two-run homerun off Dante Peńa in the 1st inning, cleared the fence in left-center. His 2nd shot, off Pervinca Tunnelly in the 7th inning, was a three-run homerun and cleared the fence in right-center. A pitch from Thaimir Siand in the 9th inning left his bat for a solo homerun, landing 390 feet from home plate in right field. Overall he got 4 hits in 6 AB, scoring three times and driving in 6 runs. His homerun total this year is 35, along with 81 RBI. Old Forest improved its record to 51-40, scoring 19 runs on 17 hits.

BYWATER - When it rains, it pours. Bywater's ace Bugrin Spinner will not pitch for at least 7 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Minas Tirith where he left the field in the 3rd inning. After being taken to a local hospital, Spinner was examined by specialists. The diagnosis revealed the sad truth, a Bone Chips Elbow. Opposing players hit .280 against Bugrin this season. WEATHERTOP - Hitting a homerun is fine, but hitting three of them in one game is something special. Rohan's catcher Rafur Rockback accomplished that feat in a 12-4 win over Weathertop. A 420 foot drive to center field marked his 2nd bomb, a two-run homerun off Phaiar Eowiviel in the 3rd inning. His 3rd shot, a two-run homerun off Dinodas Muddyfoot in the 4th inning, cleared the fence in left field. Overall he got 5 hits in 5 AB, stroking a double, with three runs scored and collecting 7 RBI. So far this season he is batting .313 with 20 homers and 66 RBI.

OLD FOREST - Galaigast Faromli led Mirkwood to a 13-2 win over Old Forest by squeezing five hits out of his bat. Number 2 in the 3rd inning, a shot estimated at 362 feet, cleared the wall in left field. In the 6th inning he unloaded a solo homerun off Biagorn Belöndir. Loopy *Squishmasher wins his 4th Player of the Week award. Shire Conference pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. While batting .380, 108 for 284, he has driven in 68 runs. He's 2nd in the Shire Conference in batting, 3rd in homeruns and 6th in RBI! BREE - Bree's players were scared when they had to watch Ralin Rockbinder suffer a serious injury when he dove for a ball in the game against Bucklebury. He collapsed in pain and was helped off the field. Rockbinder will probaby miss 6 weeks. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Broken Foot. Rockbinder has hit 19 homeruns this year while batting .295. He adds 19 doubles, along with 68 runs scored. He's 3rd in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 5th in homeruns!

Friday 7/1/2007: Boraulf and Bugbearripper receive Pitcher of the Month award
It's the 4th time that the Shire Conference Pitcher of the Month award goes to Rivendell's pitcher Boreathor Boraulf. He had an ERA of just 2.57 in 42 innings of work in which he struck out 35 hitters. His record in June is 5-0. Opposing players hit .210 against Boreathor this season. While posting an ERA of 2.76 he went 11-4 in 20 starts, fanning 138 and walking 25 hitters. He has 4 complete games and one shutout. He's 3rd in the Shire Conference in ERA and 1st in wins! Misty Mountain's pitcher Eralak Bugbearripper is the Mordor Conference winner of the Pitcher of the Month award in June. He went 5-0 in June and finished the month with an ERA of 1.14. He struck out 48 in 47.1 innings. His ERA of 3.25 helped him to a 10-4 record this year. He struck out 120 and walked 58 in 116.1 innings. He's 3rd in the Mordor Conference in wins!

The Shire Conference Batter of the Month award goes to Loopy *Squishmasher, Rivendell's starting third baseman. He had an on base percentage of .491 and hit .421, while driving in 39 runs. He has hit 24 homeruns while batting .384 this season. His 106 hits and 46 walks add up to a .472 on-base percentage. He's 2nd in the Shire Conference in batting, 3rd in homeruns and 6th in RBI! Misty Mountain's catcher Bagwurz Bloodaxe had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named him the Mordor Conference Batter of the Month. Bagwurz pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .427 with 6 and 18 RBI while slugging .775. This year Bloodaxe drove in 44 and scored 40 runs while batting .314 with 12 longballs.

NUMENOR - Numenor's left-hander Misil Orebearer is a great pitcher. And he once again showed his stuff, blanking Weathertop on just 2 hits. It's his 2nd shutout this season, and the 2nd time he has done it in his career. Orebearer (8-0) was overpowering, fanning 12 while walking 1, throwing 109 pitches. 'Giving my team a chance to win is the most important thing for me. I was able to do it today.' The hitting star for Numenor was rightfielder Disil Axesmith, he finished with 2 hits in 5 AB, with 2 RBI. Numenor improved its record to 46-24, scoring 4 runs on 10 hits.

The Shire Conference's best player of the week was Moria's Shatai Githrarith, who wins the award for the 1st time in his career. Shatai went 13 for 29 (.448), while hitting 3 HR and collecting 9 RBI. He hit in every game this week and extended his hitting streak to 7 games. This year Githrarith drove in 30 and scored 36 runs while batting .249 with 13 homeruns. Sunday 6/12/2007: Floror Eäril-Gaviel quiets Rohan bats with shutout
ROHAN - Dunharrow's right-hander Floror Eäril-Gaviel is a great pitcher. And he once again showed his stuff, blanking Rohan on just 2 hits. It's his 1st shutout this season, and the 4th time he has done it in his career. Eäril-Gaviel (2-6) struck out 8 and walked 2, throwing 67 of 108 pitches for strikes. 'I really like to play baseball, and I love the way I was able to play it today.' Dunharrow's leftfielder Voruk Spikedragger finished 3 for 5, going deep twice, scoring twice with 4 RBI. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Eäril-Gaviel. Dunharrow scored 9 runs on 15 hits.

LAKE TOWN - Good things can happen when you throw strikes. And Tigor Noseprodder did so today, in a 1-hit shutout against Lake Town. Noseprodder (7-6) struck out 7 and walked 2, throwing 55 of 99 pitches for strikes. 'My catcher called a very good game. I have to give credit to him.' David Mantooth helped Noseprodder at the plate, he finished 2 for 4, hitting two dingers, scoring 2 runs and collecting 2 RBI. Carrock scored 5 runs on 11 hits.

BREE - Bree's leftfielder Thaira Lómebrildur will miss the rest of the season. He injured himself running the bases in the game between Bree and Old Forest. Vral Spikekiller of Bywater wins his 1st Player of the Week award for dominating Shire Conference's hitters the entire week. Spikekiller was overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 1.93. Along the way he struck out 7 in 14 innings. He hurled a shutout as well. Vral has a record of 5-8 this season, with an ERA of 5.74. In 69 Innings he was able to strike out 32 batters. Vral has pitched one shutout and one complete game. Bagwurz Bloodaxe from Misty Mountain wins his 1st Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. Bagwurz went 9 for 17 (.529), while hitting 3 HR and collecting 6 RBI. While compiling an on base percentage of .333, Bagwurz hit .277 and slugged .511. He has collected 31 runs batted in this year.

Wednesday 6/1/2007: Arwodur and Foerender receive Pitcher of the Month award
It's the 2nd time that the Shire Conference Pitcher of the Month award goes to Bree's pitcher Ban Arwodur. He struck out 35 hitters in his 5 starts, putting together a record of 4-0 while pitching 35 innings. His ERA in May was 1.11. Ban got two complete game shutouts as well! Opposing players hit .208 against Ban this season. While posting an ERA of 2.15 he went 6-2 in 11 starts, fanning 72 and walking 12 hitters. Ban has pitched 2 shutouts and 4 complete games. The best month of May in the Mordor Conference certainly had Grey Havens' right-hander Glosil Foerender, earning him the Pitcher of the Month award. He had an ERA of just 1.33 in 40.2 innings of work in which he struck out 39 hitters. His record in May is 4-1. Glosil pitched a shutout as well. This season Foerender compiled an ERA of 3.41, going 5-3 in 12 starts. He fanned 67 while giving up 66 hits in 71.1 innings. He has one complete game and one shutout.

LAKE TOWN - Denamir Eärindel is among the best pure hitters in the game, but his 5 hit performance seemed to surprise even himself. A RBI double off Halin Goblinfist in the 1st inning accounted for his 1st hit. A RBI double off Halin Goblinfist in the 3rd inning accounted for his 2nd hit. In the 5th inning he belted a double off Halin Goblinfist. His 5th hit, a solo homerun off Phanmina Fil-Gar in the 8th inning, cleared the fence in left field. He had a single in the 6th, driving in one run. Denamir did drive in 4 while scoring 2 runs on his own. He's having a very good season so far, batting .358. Lake Town scored 10 runs on 16 hits.

Mordor Conference pitchers couldn't figure out how to retire this guy all week long. Grukak went 10 for 23 (.435), while hitting 2 HR and collecting 11 RBI. Grukak is hitting .321 this year, with 53 hits in 165 at bats. He has driven in 42 runs, slugging .606.

He now has 20 career shutouts in 154 games started. Boraulf (6-2) struck out an astounding 13 and walked 3, throwing 75 of 117 pitches for strikes. 'My catcher called a very good game. I have to give credit to him.' Goreogorn Gollaund provided Rivendell with the offense Boraulf needed as he stroked 3 hits in 4 AB, blasting a homerun, doubling twice, scoring two runs. Rivendell scored 9 runs on 13 hits.

Monday 5/16/2007: Zuthor Toviel blanks Bucklebury with a 2-hitter
BUCKLEBURY - Carrock's right-hander Zuthor Toviel is clearly one of the best pitchers in the game. Bucklebury found out the hard way, getting just 2 hits. Toviel 2nd shutout this season was a masterpiece, as he was almost untouchable. He has now hurled 5th shutouts in his career. Toviel (3-3) fanned 6 and walked 3, throwing 110 pitches. 'Pitching a great game is always a good thing. And it doesn't get much better than today.' Greogrin Goragol helped Toviel at the plate, he went 2 for 3. Carrock scored 1 run on 6 hits.

Monday 5/16/2007: Imrilron (OF) and Earchewer (NUM) win P.O.W. award
Isilborn Imrilron from Old Forest wins his 7th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Shire Conference. Isilborn was on fire, hitting .600 with 4 HR and 10 RBI. He hit in every game this week and extended his hitting streak to 11 games. His season features a batting average of .373 (57 hits in 153 AB), 9 doubles, one triple and 18 homeruns. Imrilron collected 43 RBI and 31 runs as well. He's 5th in the Shire Conference in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI! The Player of the Week award in the Mordor Conference goes to Numenor's Gruugor Earchewer this time, as the centerfielder displayed the best offensive perfomance in his league. In 21 at bats he hit .524 with 3 HR and 9 RBI. His season features a batting average of .316 (43 hits in 136 AB), 7 doubles, one triple and 6 bombs. Earchewer collected 33 RBI and 23 runs as well.

Thursday 5/12/2007: Carrock's Trik *Rider gets the cycle
CARROCK - Trik *Rider hits 'em where they ain't. Gondolin certainly agrees as Carrock's second baseman unloaded four hits and hitting for the cycle. Number 1 in the 3rd inning accounted for a double. A single in the 4th off Henus Goblinmaster accounted for his 2nd hit. His 3rd hit was a triple off Henus Goblinmaster in the 6th inning. His 4th hit, a two-run homerun off Tigseen Tadriendir in the 7th inning, cleared the fence in right field. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Trik scored 3 runs, and he collected 3 RBI as well! He's having a very good season so far, batting .367. He becomes the 14th player in league history collect at least a single, double, triple and a homerun in a single game. On 9/3/2006, Elrond *Hubbard was the last player to hit for the cycle.

Monday 5/9/2007: Glebrildur (CAR) and Ettinripper (MIN) win P.O.W. award
The Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Siloja Glebrildur, Carrock's starting leftfielder. Siloja was on fire, hitting .577 with 3 HR and 6 RBI. Glebrildur has hit 10 homeruns this year while batting .371. He adds 9 doubles, along with 25 runs scored. He's 3rd in the Shire Conference in batting! It's the 1st time that the Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Minas Morgul's rightfielder Kadish Ettinripper. He hit .577 with 6 RBI and slugged .769 in 26 at bats. Ettinripper has walked 3 times this year and posts a .407 OBP. While batting .385, 45 for 117, he has driven in 15 runs. He's 2nd in the Mordor Conference in batting!

Friday 5/6/2007: Rohan has no chance in a 2-hitter by Legan Isauhir
ROHAN - Legan Isauhir had his best stuff going, and Rohan hitters were chanceless. Dead Marshes' right-hander fired a 2-hitter, his 2nd shutout of the season. Isauhir (2-2) fanned 5 and walked 6, throwing 114 pitches. 'Things like that happen. You take the mound and everything works. My velocity was pretty good today and I guess it showed.' Dead Marshes' second baseman Mauhur *the Looter finished 3 for 5, blasting a homerun, scoring three runs and driving in 2 runs. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Isauhir. Dead Marshes improved its record to 19-13, scoring 10 runs on 14 hits.

Monday 5/2/2007: Lake Town's Nilad out for 7 weeks
LAKE TOWN - Lake Town's catcher Thuralia Nilad will miss about 7 weeks after being knocked unconscious in a collision at home plate, in the 6th inning of the game between Lake Town and Mirkwood. He was helped off the field after the incident. Nilad will miss at least 7 weeks. After x-rays were taken the diagnosis did not surprise many: Broken Cheekbone. Surgery will be performed next week. This year Nilad drove in 11 and scored 17 runs while batting .289 with 4 homeruns.

Monday 5/2/2007: Bywater's Facecrusher wins Player of the Week award
It's the 1st time that the Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Bywater's pitcher Kirg Facecrusher. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 1.53 while going 2-0. He hurled a shutout as well. Kirg has a record of 4-0 this season, with an ERA of 2.73. In 52.2 Innings he was able to strike out 41 batters. Kirg has pitched one shutout and one complete game. He's 6th in the Shire Conference in ERA and 3rd in wins! The Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Nuumsh Gnomeraper, one of Dagorlad's best starting pitchers. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 1.06 while going 2-0. A complete game added to his brilliant performance.

Sunday 5/1/2007: Kirg Facecrusher dominates Moria, gives up just 2 hits
BYWATER - Moria's hitters were dominated by Bywater's Kirg Facecrusher. He gave up just 2 hits in recording his 1st shutout of the season. 'Well, the ball went where I wanted it. I was able to hit the corners with all of my pitches.' Facecrusher (4-0) fanned 4 and walked 1, throwing 99 pitches. Bywater's centerfielder Vorzava Tinond collected 1 hit in 3 trips to the plate, blasting a homerun. That was enough to support the brilliant performance of Facecrusher. The final score of the game was 2-0.

Sunday 5/1/2007: Grailas (LT) and Irontearer (ROH) win monthly pitcher award
Winner of this months Shire Conference Pitcher of the Month award is Lake Town's Gwomer Grailas. He went 6-0 in April and finished the month with an ERA of 1.56. He struck out 50 in 52 innings. The best month of April in the Mordor Conference certainly had Rohan's right-hander Libur Irontearer, earning him the Pitcher of the Month award. He struck out 49 hitters in his 7 starts, putting together a record of 5-0 while pitching 49 innings. His ERA in April was 0.96.

Sunday 5/1/2007: Batter of the Month award winners announced
Old Forest's leftfielder Isilborn Imrilron had some reason to celebrate, as the league named him the Shire Conference Batter of the Month. Isilborn was on fire, hitting .337 with 10 homeruns and 24 RBI. The Mordor Conference Batter of the Month award goes to Golligast Gandulbo, Grey Havens' starting first baseman. Golligast pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .357 with 9 and 32 RBI while slugging .673.

Tuesday 4/26/2007: Dejahth Anylith blanks Minas Tirith with a 2-hitter
BREE - Bree's right-hander Dejahth Anylith is clearly one of the best pitchers in the game. Minas Tirith found out the hard way, getting just 2 hits. Anylith 1st shutout this season was a masterpiece, as he was almost untouchable. He has now hurled 8th shutouts in his career. Anylith (3-2) was overpowering, fanning 10 while walking 2, throwing 123 pitches. 'They took some ugly cuts at my breaking stuff, so I kept throwing it. Fortunately they were not able to adjust in time.' The hitting star for Bree was catcher Lobur Oathdelver, he stroked 2 hits in 4 AB, hitting a homerun, scoring twice and collecting 2 RBI. The final score of the game was 8-0.

Monday 4/25/2007: Lómebrildur and Armormasher win Player of the Week award
It's the 4th time that the Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Bree's leftfielder Thaira Lómebrildur. He hit .385 with 13 RBI and slugged 1.231 in 26 at bats. He now has homered in 3 consecutive games as well! Lómebrildur has walked 8 times this year and posts a .347 OBP. While batting .295, 26 for 88, he has driven in 24 runs. He's 1st in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 1st in homeruns! Boran Armormasher from Isengard wins his 3rd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. Armormasher helped his team with an average of .600 and 10 RBI in 25 at bats. Armormasher has hit 2 homeruns this year while batting .400. He adds 6 doubles, along with 14 runs scored. He's 1st in the Mordor Conference in batting!

Friday 4/22/2007: Ulor Témir fires 2-hitter against Dead Marshes
DEAD MARSHES - Dead Marshes' bats were sleeping, and Dol Guldur's Ulor Témir gave them no chance to wake up. He gave up just 2 hits in recording his 1st shutout of the season. Témir (2-3) struck out 6 and walked 1, throwing 62 of 98 pitches for strikes. 'Things like that happen. You take the mound and everything works. My velocity was pretty good today and I guess it showed.' Gollilmer Fyrith provided Dol Guldur with the offense Témir needed as he finished with 2 hits in 5 AB, blasting a homerun, scoring 2 runs with 3 RBI. The final score of the game was 7-0.

Wednesday 4/20/2007: Beogast Belol fires 1-hitter against Minas Tirith
GONDOLIN - All you need to win is a dominating pitching performance. And Gondolin's Beogast Belol did so today, in a 1-hit shutout against Minas Tirith. Roran Shieldmover spoiled the bid for a no-hitter when he singled with no outs in the 5th inning. Belol (2-1) fanned 5 and walked none, throwing 95 pitches. 'Hey, that's my job! Everytime I take the mound I give the best I can. And my best stuff was too much for them today.' The hitting star for Gondolin was leftfielder Denar Axecutter, he stroked 3 hits in 3 AB, homering once, doubling once, scoring two runs and collecting 3 RBI. Gondolin scored 8 runs on 10 hits.

Monday 4/18/2007: Isengard's *Orithil wins Player of the Week award
The Shire Conference's best player of the week was Lake Town's Gwomer Grailas, who wins the award for the 1st time in his career. Grailas was overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 1.10. Along the way he struck out 15 in 16.1 innings. A complete game added to his brilliant performance. Opposing players hit .191 against Gwomer this season. While posting an ERA of 1.71 he went 4-0 in 4 starts, fanning 27 and walking 4 hitters. He's 3rd in the Shire Conference in ERA and 1st in wins! The Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Olorin *Orithil, Isengard's starting centerfielder. Olorin pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .429 with 5 HR and 9 RBI while slugging 1.000. His season numbers are: .344 AVG, 22 hits, 3 doubles, no triples and 6 homeruns, along with 13 RBI and 12 runs scored.

Sunday 4/17/2007: Minas Morgul's Myrtai Elvywyn ropes five hits
NUMENOR - Minas Morgul's first baseman Myrtai Elvywyn accomplished a difficult feat in a 10-3 win over Numenor, drilling five hits to improve his career batting average to .261! His 1st hit, off Gollogrin Gaum in the 1st inning, was a three-run homerun and cleared the fence in right field. In the 6th inning he unloaded a solo homerun off Gollogrin Gaum. He had singles in the 3rd , in the 7th and in the 9th . Myrtai scored 4 runs, and he collected 4 RBI as well! His 5 hit performance increases his batting average to .240. Minas Morgul scored 10 runs on 11 hits.

Friday 4/15/2007: Legan Isauhir shuts out Dol Guldur on 2 hits
DEAD MARSHES - It was a great day for Dead Marshes' right-hander Legan Isauhir. The 27-year old recorded his first career shutout, a 2-hitter, against Dol Guldur on Friday. 'I didn't feel that I had good stuff while warming up. But it got better the more I threw the ball. I guess I was lucky.' Isauhir (1-0) struck out an astounding 14 and walked 2, throwing 70 of 111 pitches for strikes. Sordor Glóthien provided Dead Marshes with the offense Isauhir needed as he finished with 5 hits in 5 AB, hitting a homerun, scoring FOUR times and driving in 2 runs. Dead Marshes improved its record to 8-5, scoring 12 runs on 14 hits.

Friday 4/15/2007: Legeron Iseomer (ROH) will miss 5 weeks
ROHAN - When it rains, it pours. Rohan's ace Legeron Iseomer will not pitch for at least 5 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Isengard where he left the field in the 3rd inning. Bone Chips Elbow was the diagnosis after x-rays were taken in a nearby hospital. The message shocked teammates and team officials. Opposing players hit .200 against Legeron this season. While posting an ERA of 2.53 he went 1-2 in 4 starts, fanning 21 and walking 1 hitters. He has one complete game and one shutout.

Monday 4/11/2007: Carrock's Glebrildur wins Player of the Week award
Siloja Glebrildur from Carrock wins his 2nd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Shire Conference. Glebrildur helped his team with an average of .462 and 10 RBI in 26 at bats. Siloja has gone 14 for 36 (.389) this season, hitting 3 bombs and driving in 10 runs. He has scored 8 runs on his own. He's 10th in the Shire Conference in batting, 4th in homeruns and 5th in RBI! Gandaudur Eowöldor from Isengard wins his 4th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. Gandaudur pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .423 with 5 HR and 9 RBI while slugging 1.115. Eowöldor has walked 3 times this year and posts a .432 OBP. While batting .382, 13 for 34, he has driven in 11 runs. He's 8th in the Mordor Conference in batting, 1st in homeruns and 3rd in RBI!

Friday 4/1/2007: Legeron Iseomer turns in great performance against Gondor
ROHAN - Rohan's Legeron Iseomer overmatched the opposing hitters all day long. Gondor had no chance, collecting just 2 hits against the left-hander. 'I hit the corners with all of my pitches. Friday 4/1/2007: Boreathor Boraulf (RIV) will miss 6 weeks
RIVENDELL - Rivendell is without its ace Boreathor Boraulf for at least 6 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Balin Bloodspear in a game against Minas Tirith. His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. Pulled Rotator Cuff Muscle was the diagnosis after x-rays were taken in a nearby hospital. The message shocked teammates and team officials.
