 | SGCBL News: First-Year Player Draft Saturday, June 15th, 2019: Clubs are readying for today's Tolkien Baseball amateur draft with a tenacious belief that their picks will determine the future of the organization. In a way, they're right. A few will strike instant gold, picking the "can't miss" superstar, who actually doesn't miss. Most, however, will wind up striking out. These five ballclubs will have the first five selections: Carrock Bears, Minas Ithil Wyrms, Bucklebury Fairies, Dead Marshes Uruk-hai and Lake Town Archers. Baseball experts predict that these players will be high on everybody's list: 1. Praggek Brainthrottler, 22 year-old starting pitcher out of college. 2. Cele Lumsden, 19 year-old left fielder out of high-school. 3. Isumbras Sandybanks, 19 year-old left fielder out of high-school. 4. Gruugor Goblincutter, 22 year-old left fielder out of college. 5. Kingsfoi Naquin, 19 year-old starting pitcher out of high-school. 6. Nose Gladrierà, 21 year-old first baseman out of college. 7. Otho Hornblower, 21 year-old left fielder out of college. 8. Honeysuckle Bridger, 22 year-old right fielder out of college. 9. Rowan Sandyman, 18 year-old shortstop out of high-school. 10. Franklyn Behnke, 19 year-old left fielder out of high-school. |
