 | Gandulbo Tags Number 500 Wednesday, July 31st, 2019: At Grey Havens Field Golligast Gandulbo smashed his 500th career home run in a game against Dead Marshes today. The 37-year-old first baseman had a hand in the Grey Havens Stars 16-3 victory with 1 home run and 3 RBI. For the day he went 2 hits-3 at-bats. At the press conference after the game, Gandulbo downplayed his achievement. "Obviously, I've hit 500 home runs so I belong in that 500 club. But when you talk about the other guys that have done it, I'm not as good as they were. Those guys were the greatest of all time. I've just been able to scrape together some good years and stayed healthy and gotten there." Gandulbo boasts a lifetime batting average of .277 with 2459 hits, 500 homers, 1447 runs scored and 1564 RBIs. |
