 | Wednesday, April 19th, 2017: 5-Hit Game for Gravebow! "It was like I was hitting little league pitching again," said Gorin Gravebow after his 5-hit performanace against the Marauders. "No offense meant to Mirkwood, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was The Fairie Dome! I'm just not too happy that we lost 14-9" The Bucklebury left fielder had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Gorin worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Gravebow said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it. It sure did work today." G. Gravebow singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Gravebow has no home runs and a .333 batting average. |
