But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Gorilf Badgermangler showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Dagorlad Disaster and helped the Bucklebury Fairies beat them 17-2. The manager for the Disaster told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Badgermangler keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. G. Badgermangler flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off R. Moss in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off I. Sandyman in the 9th. Badgermangler is hitting .257 this year with 23 home runs and 76 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .292, 19 walks and scored 53 times. |
