 | Big Day with Bat: Gàndir 5-6 Tuesday, August 13th, 2019: It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Phaiar Gàndir of the Mirkwood Marauders. Gàndir went on a tear at Woodland Field and cracked hit after hit off Ravenhill pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 29-year-old center fielder had a career 5-6 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell 'em we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Gàndir got the accolades today, but the Ravenhill Darkwings walked off the field with a 13-12 win. P. Gàndir hit a solo-shot off I. the Basher in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In 116 games this season Gàndir has batted at a .274 pace with 133 hits and 20 home runs. |
