Wednesday, August 14th, 2019: Dol Guldur fans will be disappointed to learn that Sauron the Evil developed a strained back muscle while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Dol Guldur Dragons manager that the Evil was expected to miss 1-2 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the reliever could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
This season the Evil has been credited with 15 saves. In 46 relief appearances and 51.1 innings he has a 3-1 won-lost mark, a 2.45 ERA and 39 strikeouts.
