Monday, May 10th, 2021: There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Flortai Novathien, the Eldalonde first baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the Galadriel League Player of the Week honors.
Novathien piled up 14 hits in 28 at-bats, 2 home runs and 10 RBIs while hitting .500.
So far this year Novathien has 4 home runs and a .293 batting average. |

Monday, May 10th, 2021: So far in his young career, Lelin Rocksplitter has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Elrond League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 25-year-old Hobbiton Halflings first baseman hit at a torrid .440 clip as he collected 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
This year Rocksplitter is batting .258 with 33 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 19 times and has batted in 17 runs. |
 | Bramble Clobbers 3 HR Against Wainriders
Sunday, May 9th, 2021: Ponto Bramble, the Hoarwell right fielder, put on a dazzling display of power today at Hookers Ballpark against the Harad Wainriders. In the 6-5 victory Bramble penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single day efforts.
What a display it was -- three home runs, 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. It certainly was a day for the league record books.
"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," the Harad manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so good."
Talking about his theory of hitting after the game, Bramble said, "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off... the right pitch will come and when it does, be prepared to run the bases... or trot around the bases... like I did today."
So says the latest person to hit three homers in a game.
P. Bramble hit a solo-shot off S. Daggerdrinker in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off S. Daggerdrinker in the 4th, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off H. Nondel in the 11th.
Bramble is hitting .429 so far this season with 10 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 21 hits including 4 home runs, 8 walks and .509 OBP. |
