 | Wednesday, May 29th, 2013: Anér Chisels a Gem, Holds Aglarond Scoreless All went well for Koprak Anér of the Eregion Eagles as he pitched his team to a shutout victory over the Aglarond Ice, limiting them to 3 base hits while ringing up 7 strikeouts and surrendering 2 bases on balls. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Anér. His manager described him this way: "He's got three different fastballs, a curve, a changeup, five or six things he throws a guy. He gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful." The Aglarond skipper said, "He doesn't give you anything twice. It's a guessing game with him and, today, my club was always guessing wrong." So far his season looks like this: Anér is 7-1 with 10 games started with a 1.74 ERA in 10 starts. He has 67 strikeouts and 12 bases on balls in 82.2 innings and allowed the opposition to hit .163 against him. |
