| Breaking News | | Wednesday, April 19th, 2017: Titans Ironsplitter Blanks Lake Town
On the hill Glignar Ironsplitter stood out and was the master of the moment as he blanked Lake Town 8-0.
At bat the Archers floundered, fizzled and failed to score.
"His fastball moves and he mixes in the slider," the Lake Town manager said. "He kept us off balance."
The Minas Tirith pitcher hurled a 4-hit shutout in an exceptional effort. He gave up no walks and numbered 10 strikeouts.
"I felt good," Ironsplitter said. "That's probably the best fastball I've had all season. I was able to locate it pretty well. They were super-aggressive, which helped me."

| Sunday, April 9th, 2017: Melwasul Out for 2 Weeks
"It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Elendil Melwasul after injuring himself in a game against Ravenhill. The Numenor manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 2 weeks with a scratched cornea." The Kings will have to decide over the next day or two whether the left fielder will go on the disabled list.
This season Melwasul is batting .294 with 2 home runs.

| Sunday, March 26th, 2017: Titans Center Fielder Hurt
The Minas Tirith Titans were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Phaiar Gāndir was likely to be out for 2 weeks after he injured himself making a defensive play in today's game against the Rivendell Royals. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a fractured finger. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Minas Tirith manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries--they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Phaiar is back in action."
