Grumpus *the Grumpest of the Lothlorien Lumberjacks had a super week and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Mordor Conference.
The 32-year-old center fielder put up a .406 average with a .424 on-base percentage, racking up 13 hits in 32 at-bats, 5 home runs, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
On the season, *the Grumpest is batting .287 with 8 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 21 games.

 | Wednesday, April 12th, 2017: Lumberjacks Eläril to Miss 2-3 Months
"I'm frustrated right now," said Lothlorien catcher Meli Eläril. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Lumberjacks, that's where he will be spending the next 2-3 months. Eläril suffered a fractured ulna in today's game against Dunharrow while colliding with a player at home plate. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be."
Presently Eläril is batting .257 and has collected 3 home runs, 5 RBIs, .366 OBP and scored 6 runs.

 | Friday, October 7th, 2016: *Moonblossom at Her Best, Blanks Lothlorien
In a splendid 12-0 shutout performance, Amaris *Moonblossom of the Minas Morgul Slayers subdued the Lothlorien Lumberjacks on a 2-hitter.
Her manager said in postgame comments, "She kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."
*Moonblossom registered 13 strikeouts and no walks.
In 41 starts this season *Moonblossom has recorded a 16-4 record and a 3.03 ERA.
