"I had everything working for me out there. I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With stuff like that, it was easy for Quinn Ladygrass of the Miners to handcuff the Marauders 6-0 and come away with a complete game 5-hit shutout. She recorded 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in an impressive performance.
This year Ladygrass has compiled a 5-1 mark with a 2.40 ERA. |
 | Sunday, April 30th, 2017: Facedragger Out 2 Weeks with Injury
The Marauders received bad news this morning. Elrugol Facedragger will miss 2 weeks due to a concussion. In the Mirkwood-Moria game he sustained the injury while making a defensive play. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Facedragger sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
This year Facedragger is batting .175 with 10 hits, no home runs, 2 RBIs, 4 walks, .242 OBP and has scored 4 runs. |

Voilin Gwaimir of the Old Forest Merry Fellows was firing on all cylinders against the Mirkwood Marauders. He blanked them 6-0 on 2 hits and posted 5 strikeouts and 5 walks.
To date this season Gwaimir is 3-1 with 3 starts and an ERA of 4.00 with 11 strikeouts in 27 innings. |
