Breaking News Monday, September 30th, 2019: Weathertop's Beardcutter Will Miss Season Doctors in Weathertop said Fabur Beardcutter may not play anymore this year. The Witch Kings starting pitcher received a tender shoulder during a game against the Numenor Kings and will be out for at least 1-2 weeks. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season. In 32 starts this season Beardcutter has chalked up a 12-9 record and a 4.00 ERA. Sunday, September 22nd, 2019: Deb and Thunderarrow Suspended 10 Games The league commissioner has issued 10-game suspensions to Krom Deb of Weathertop and Moisil Thunderarrow of Ravenhill. The two players were involved in a confrontation during a recent Witch Kings-Darkwings game at The Ballpark at Helms Deep and now will miss time because of it. Neither player would comment on the suspensions. In the 2019 season Deb has hit .327 with 2 home runs, 47 RBIs and scored 56 runs. This year Thunderarrow has a 9-15 record with a 4.49 ERA. Saturday, August 31st, 2019: Ruano Slams Milestone Homer Grey Havens's 12-7 victory over Weathertop was highlighted by Boris Ruano's 400th career home run. His teammates congratulated him at home plate after he circled the bases. "I didn't see all of them out there," Ruano said with a chuckle, "until I rounded third base." He added sheepishly: "It was only a home run. It's not like I won us a Return of the King Series!" In 5 at-bats the Stars center fielder collected 1 hit in his historic game, scored 1 run, and had 3 runs batted in.
