Vorzava Tinond at first refused to leave today's Dunharrow-Dol Guldur game after he suffered back spasms while throwing the ball. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Dol Guldur center fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Tinond out of action for one week.
In 2017 Tinond is hitting .213, batted in 6 runs with 2 home runs and 7 runs scored.

 | Friday, April 21st, 2017: Orebearer Records Shutout Against Dol Guldur
Misil Orebearer of the Dunharrow Devils was on top of his game today. He tantalized the Dol Guldur Dragons with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest and came away with a 7-0 shutout.
In the postgame comments, the Dol Guldur skipper said, "He had the changeup working. You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower."
The Dunharrow hurler had 5 strikeouts, gave up 2 walks and surrendered 3 hits in his complete game effort.
Orebearer told reporters after the game, "To be successful in this league, you have to keep the ball down. If you don't, they'll make you pay."
Checking out his stats for the season, Orebearer has racked up 1 win and 2 losses in 5 starts, 2.13 ERA and struck out 19 batters in 38 innings.

 | Monday, April 17th, 2017: Rogers Hurt, Listed Day-to-Day
Dragons star starting pitcher Vincent Rogers may be sitting it out a few days after he picked up an injury in yesterday's game against the Weathertop Witch Kings. He sustained a finger blister while throwing a pitch. Rogers isn't expected to miss a lot of time. However, doctors want to be cautious. They said he would be day-to-day for about 1-2 weeks.
