| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 1st, 2017: *Hubbard Snags SC Batting Honor in April
It was a good month for Old Forest Merry Fellows left fielder El-Rond *Hubbard, April's Shire Conference Batter of the Month.
*Hubbard starred by hitting .396 with a .454 on-base percentage. He totaled 42 hits in 106 at-bats, 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and scored 16 runs.

| Friday, April 28th, 2017: Old Forest Star Chubb Struggles with Injury
Frodo Chubb, Merry Fellows standout starting pitcher, will be sidelined for a while due to back spasms. He was injured while throwing a pitch in yesterday's game against the Marauders. Chubb called it "a day-to-day thing" and said he hoped to be back in action soon.
This year Chubb has registered 3 wins and 2 losses in 7 starts with a 2.83 ERA while registering 50 strikeouts and 5 walks in 41.1 innings. |
| Thursday, April 27th, 2017: Gwaimir Tosses Shutout Against Marauders
Voilin Gwaimir of the Old Forest Merry Fellows was firing on all cylinders against the Mirkwood Marauders. He blanked them 6-0 on 2 hits and posted 5 strikeouts and 5 walks.
