Timlus Beardsmelter of the Angmar Assassins was really in the zone as he mowed down the Osgiliath hitters 8-0 in a sterling mound performance.
"I'm feeling good overall," he said.
"I'm executing my pitches, I'm able to hit my spots and I'm getting outs in key situations."
Beardsmelter shut down the Osgiliath Captains, blanking them on 4 hits while registering 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.

It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Girith Axecutter. It was very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Axecutter went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Osgiliath pitching.
When the dust settled on the diamond at Tumladen Grounds, he had a career 5-5 day and something he will long remember. And the Tumladen Talons had a 6-0 victory over the Captains.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he laughed in the SION postgame interview.
G. Axecutter singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off D. Ringbearer in the 9th.
In his season totals, Axecutter has 2 home runs, .242 BA, .289 OBP, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 28 games. |
 | Monday, May 1st, 2017: Big Day with Bat, Bunce 5-5
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Tumladen catcher Tran Bunce said to SION reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Osgiliath Captains at Tumladen Grounds. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The Talons had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 6-0.
T. Bunce doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This year Bunce has batted at a .265 pace with 30 hits, no home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 15 times. |
