| Breaking News | | Tuesday, April 25th, 2017: Greenway Whitewashes Dale, Dwarftopper Winner Fragar Dwarftopper of the Greenway Gold Rush was on top of his game today. He tantalized the Dale Crossbowmen with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest and came away with a 4-0 shutout.
In the postgame comments, the Dale skipper said, "He had the changeup working. You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower."
The Greenway hurler had 1 strikeout, gave up 1 walk and surrendered 2 hits in his complete game effort.
Dwarftopper told reporters after the game, "To be successful in this league, you have to keep the ball down. If you don't, they'll make you pay."
In 5 starts this season Dwarftopper has fashioned a 2-1 record and a 4.58 ERA. | | Sunday, April 16th, 2017: Freond Holds Gold Rush Scoreless Galilden Freond of the Tumladen Talons shut out the Greenway Gold Rush 1-0, held them to 2 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Freond said, "I could throw any pitch on any count."
The Greenway skipper called his game a jewel, saying, "The way he was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him."
| | Tuesday, April 11th, 2017: Gold Rush Blank Breezers Srik Liverdicer Jr. was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Breezers. He shut them out 11-0 on 4 hits with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks.
The Greenway manager said, "Srik was very aggressive tonight. He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
The losing manager had praise, too. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well. Liverdicer Jr. has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that offspeed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
