Today the Galadriel League announced the Player of the Week Award. This week's honoree is Fangorn catcher Nicholas Oreback. When he steps into the batter's box, it's usually bad news for pitchers.
For the week he batted .556 (15-27) with no home runs and 10 RBIs.
Posting a .373 batting average to date, Oreback has no home runs and 12 RBIs.

| Tuesday, April 11th, 2017: Green Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Fangorn's Isengrim Green told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Green today as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats against West Shire. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Ents knocked off the Wolverines 16-0 at Ents Stadium.
I. Green singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off A. Miller in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off H. Grigol in the 8th.
Looking at his 2017 season stats, Green has compiled a .500 batting average in 7 games with a .579 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 9 runs.

How does it feel to win the League Championship Series?
"It's strange. Weird," is the way the Greenleaves manager put it. "Like it was supposed to happen. Whenever something did happen, it didn't surprise us. We truly believed we would win."
Today at Giants Ballpark, Greenleaves completed its magical run to the League Championship Series title with a 5-4 triumph over the Fangorn Ents. It was the 1st time they have won it all. In the regular season, Greenleaves notched a 78-52 mark and took second place in the Elrond League Division 2 standings.
And how does it feel to lose the League Championship Series?
"Your heart is heavy and your stomach is empty" is the way the dejected Fangorn skipper described it. "It's the lowest of lows, when you lose...and the highest of highs, when you win."
