Denewyn Eäründil was on fire today and sparked his club to a 9-5 victory over the Wolverines. The Angmar center fielder was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against West Shire in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."
D. Eäründil singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off J. Dap in the 8th.
In his stats this season, Eäründil has posted a batting average of .306 with 37 hits in 121 at-bats, 3 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has also scored 22 runs, walked 8 times and compiled a .346 OBP. |

"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Fangorn's Isengrim Green told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Green today as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats against West Shire. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Ents knocked off the Wolverines 16-0 at Ents Stadium.
I. Green singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off A. Miller in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off H. Grigol in the 8th.
Looking at his 2017 season stats, Green has compiled a .500 batting average in 7 games with a .579 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 9 runs.

Cirdan pitcher Thror Silvermaster put on a show today and walked away with a 8-0 shutout victory over the West Shire Wolverines, throttling them on 5 hits. He just cruised through their lineup, fanning 7 and walking 2 in a strong outing.
"He was very efficient and he hit his spots," his manager said. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate."
