"I felt great out there. After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable," Vrung Humanwalker said in his postgame interview. "Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'm hoping for a few more starts like this."
The Lithlad hurler scored a 4-0 shutout victory over the Manglers, stopping them on 6 hits. He rung up 2 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks in today's performance.

 | Sunday, April 23rd, 2017: Catcher Curt Ballscarer Hurt
The Mirkwood Marauders will lose the services of catcher Curt Ballscarer after he sustained a bruised wrist while being hit by a pitch in today's game against the Carrock Bears. When asked about the injury, he took a philosophical approach. "Worse things can happen in life," Ballscarer said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for the next one week.
In 16 games this season Ballscarer has hit at a .254 clip and produced 8 RBIs, 1 home runs and 10 runs scored.

| Monday, April 17th, 2017: Tunnelsplitter Collects Player of the Week Award
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Balin League, but last week Kosil Tunnelsplitter of the Lithlad Lambas reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Tunnelsplitter rocked opposing pitching for a .520 average (13-25), no home runs and 5 RBIs to come away with the award.
This season Tunnelsplitter is batting .385 with 11 RBIs, 14 runs scored and no home runs.
