Withywindle right fielder Kosil Chiselfist could do no wrong in today's 34-4 win over the Knights as he collected 5 hits.
"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor...he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Knights said to the press corps after the game.
Chiselfist agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
K. Chiselfist singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off B. Underhill in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off C. Kendrick in the 4th, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
Chiselfist has collected 56 hits for the Weirdos this year, 8 of them home runs. He has also netted 43 RBIs and scored 44 runs while batting .237.

 | Thursday, August 3rd, 2017: Celolas 5-7 Against Nisimaldor
It's not something you read in the sports pages everyday -- a 5-for-7 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Giden Celolas got one today. He scattered hits all over Field of the Weirdos to pace Withywindle to a 34-4 victory over Nisimaldor.
The Nisimaldor skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Celolas hit several that he is not supposed to hit."
G. Celolas flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Looking at his 2017 season stats, Celolas has compiled a .298 batting average in 88 games with a .332 on-base percentage, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 42 runs.

 | Friday, July 21st, 2017: Withywindle Comes up Empty Against Drowbelly
Speaking after the game, the Methedras manager said, "Dudish Drowbelly had everything going for him. He controlled their bat speed, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all...masterful."
Drowbelly held the Withywindle Weirdos to 2 hits and fashioned a fine 7-0 shutout. He had 2 walks and 11 strikeouts in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Withywindle skipper told reporters.
This season Drowbelly has 11 wins and 6 losses and a 3.13 ERA.
