| Breaking News |  | Monday, April 10th, 2017: Toecrusher Honored by Balin League
This week's standout performer in the Balin League was third baseman Vrong Toecrusher of the Nisimaldor Knights.
He belted out a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week. Over the last week Toecrusher collected 13 hits in 26 at-bats and 3 home runs, drove in 15 runs and scored 5 times.

What does it take to win the Outstanding Pitcher Award?
Just ask Marroc Brandybuck of the Nisimaldor Knights -- the latest Balin League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner.
"My dad always told me dream big and dream always," he said. "It's not like I shoot for the Outstanding Pitcher Award," he said. "I have big aspirations of what I want to do in this game and what I want to achieve in a long career. This was one of my goals."
The Knights pitching ace certainly dreamed big this year, winning 17 games and losing only 4. In 27 starts Brandybuck registered a 2.54 ERA and limited other clubs to a .231 batting average. He fanned 143 in 209 innings and issued 32 walks.
This weekend Brandybuck will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner.

| Tuesday, August 9th, 2016: Brandybuck Too Tough, Blanks Methedras
In an almost effortless performance, Marroc Brandybuck of the Knights shot down the Manglers 2-0 on a 5-hit shutout.
His skipper said, "Marroc was just locating so well and using his pitches...not leaving anything over the plate."
Brandybuck recorded 8 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.
In the postgame press conference, the Methedras manager said, "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game like he can and we couldn't get a key hit off him."
In 2016 Brandybuck has logged 17 wins and 4 losses and struck out 143 batters in 209 innings while compiling a 2.54 ERA.
