| Breaking News |  | Friday, September 16th, 2016: DL's Top Pitcher is Oathkiller
The Durin League named the winner of the 2016 Durin League Outstanding Pitcher Award. It went to Lelin Oathkiller of Gorgoroth Ghosts for his spectacular season.
With a record of 17-7, Oathkiller was certainly a worthy winner. He made 28 starts and rang up 181.2 innings, 161 strikeouts and a 2.72 ERA.
This weekend Oathkiller will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner.

| Tuesday, August 9th, 2016: Skyteeth Bewilders Killers in Shutout
The Killers manager was philosophical after his team was shut out by the Gorgoroth Ghosts 11-0.
"It was just one of those games, shake it off and do better next time," he said.
Borulf Skyteeth blanked them on 4 hits with no walks and 2 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs. They were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Skyteeth said.
"I set them up pretty good, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
To date this year in 29 starts, Skyteeth has crafted a 13-8 mark with a 2.32 ERA.

An efficient outing for Griswold Goldtearer usually means a win for Eregion. Today was no exception, as the 27-year-old starter held Gorgoroth to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 4 and gave up 3 hits in the 1-0 shutout.
This season-to-date Goldtearer has 9 wins and 8 losses and a 4.38 ERA.
