Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But Arwuma Legothien did just that today for the Marauders and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 27-year-old catcher said after his record-setting performance.
A. Legothien singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Legothien is hitting .306 this year with 6 home runs, 35 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 71 hits in 232 at-bats, 25 walks and a .378 on-base percentage. Legothien has played in 112 games. |  | Monday, September 9th, 2019: *the Priest out 1-2 Weeks with Injury Minas Ithil fans will be disappointed to learn that Akorahil *the Priest developed a strained back muscle while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Minas Ithil Wyrms manager that *the Priest was expected to miss 1-2 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the starting pitcher could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
In 2019 *the Priest has compiled a 7-10 mark with a 3.16 ERA in 31 starts. In pitching 185 innings he has 164 strikeouts and 48 walks while limiting the opposition to a .246 batting average. |  | Sunday, September 1st, 2019: Chubb Gets Shutout It turns out that Old Forest's Frodo Chubb needed little run support to beat Minas Ithil today 5-0 at Silmarillion Cellular Field. In a solid outing Chubb recorded 9 strikeouts and 1 walk as he held the Wyrms to 1 hit and shut them out.
