The Ettenmoors Eruption received word today that shortstop Kurt Axesnapper was selected Bilbo League Player of the Week for his stellar performance in last week's games.
Axesnapper took full advantage of all 23 plate appearances last week as he hit .565 with 13 hits, no home runs, 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
This season Axesnapper is batting .368 with no home runs. His totals include 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

 | Sunday, April 16th, 2017: 5-Hit Barrage by Eowar
Ardatai Eowar put on a hitting clinic today as the Falcons dumped the Eruption 11-5 at Falcons Ballpark. The Falas catcher sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Ettenmoors pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game.
He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch."
A. Eowar singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
A look at his season totals shows Eowar with no home runs, .380 BA, .508 OBP, 3 RBIs and 8 runs scored.

 | Sunday, July 24th, 2016: Alcazar Stops Prairie Hill Cold
Modesto Alcazar dominated the day, pitching shutout ball against the Ponies and holding them to 5 hits. He fanned 7 and walked 3 in spinning his 4-0 win.
"I can't take all the credit for this one," Alcazar said. "I had some great defense behind me."
So far this season Alcazar has 5 wins and no losses and a 1.60 ERA.
