The Ponies whipped the Tigers 5-4 at Ballpark of Prairie Hill and Vruudish Spleengobber had a big hand in the win. The Ponies catcher came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Spleengobber and a tough day for Minas Tirith.
"I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
Plan or not, Spleengobber delivered today -- 5-6 is outstanding in any league.
V. Spleengobber singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off S. Fistsmasher in the 12th.
Spleengobber is swinging at a .315 pace on the year with 4 home runs, 38 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has played in 87 games.

Brithon was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Aldagrim Miller blanked Prairie Hill 2-0. He stopped them on 3 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.
His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."
Over the season Miller has thrown 108.1 innings and dished out 53 strikeouts with a 10-3 mark and a 3.32 ERA.
