A red-hot bat made Biggles *Dogsbody the obvious choice for this week's Shire Conference Player of the Week.
The Bree third baseman laid down some numbers that no one else could match, including a .577 average, 15 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Say no more...he got the award.

The Bree Cheese will have to make do without Biggles *Dogsbody for 3 weeks. He suffered a scratched cornea while colliding with a player at a base in the game today against the Bywater Bounders. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the first baseman. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." *Dogsbody will miss 3 weeks.
