Tuesday, July 18th, 2017: Tebrilith Smacks 5 Hits for Fire Drakes
After the Erebor 13-3 victory over Mithlond and his 5-hit day catcher Kigush Tebrilith told SION beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game is very good...three or four hits even better...5 or more are out of sight...and if it is in pro ball...it is really something special. It will get you in the record books."

The 22-year-old player gained that distinction today at Fire Drakes Ballpark with a spectacular 5 for 6 game against the Mithlond Stars.

The skipper of the Fire Drakes spoke glowingly of Tebrilith, telling SION writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Kigush did that to perfection today."

K. Tebrilith doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off A. Fithramir in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.

This year Tebrilith is hitting .301, produced 41 RBIs and 5 home runs, scored 39 times and gotten on base at a .357 rate.

Sunday, July 2nd, 2017: 5 Hits for Stars the Unchaste
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Mithlond's Item the Unchaste told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."

It definitely turn out well for the Unchaste today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against White Mountain. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Stars knocked off the Raiders 12-2 at Ballpark of Mithlond.

I. the Unchaste hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off D. Thrilmaldur in the 7th.

So far this year the Unchaste is batting .318 with 2 home runs, 35 RBIs and 28 runs scored.

Tuesday, June 20th, 2017: 5-5 Day for Manthrottler!
Grong Manthrottler was on quite a roll today as he knocked the ball all over the park, collecting 5 hits and leading the Lightning to a 13-12 victory over the Mithlond Stars.

After the first three hits, all eyes in the ballpark were drawn to him each time he stepped into the batter's box. Even a few of the opposing fans were pulling for him, knowing they were watching a little baseball-hitting history unfold.

In the clubhouse, crowded by reporters, the Langflood first baseman said, "I never realized that batting a little ball around could cause so much commotion." When asked what the secret of hitting so well is, he smiled and replied, "The key to hitting for a high average is to relax, concentrate and hit the ball where they ain't."

Nobody was at home today as Manthrottler finished the day with 5 hits in 5 at-bats and a line in the record book.

G. Manthrottler singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off A. Fithramir in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
