| Breaking News | | Tuesday, August 1st, 2017: Greenwood's Nenharma Acclaimed Best FL Hitter
When it came to hitting the baseball, Nose Nenharma had few Frodo League peers in July. The left fielder for Greenwood mauled opposing pitchers for a .406 batting average and was voted the league's best batter for the month.
He finished up with some strong stats: 4 home runs, 27 RBIs and 22 runs scored, 14 walks and a .471 on-base percentage.
So far in 2017 Nenharma is hitting .318 with 14 home runs, 70 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He has 105 hits and played in 87 games.

The Frodo League has made it official -- Nose Nenharma is this week's winner of the Player of the Week Award.
The Greenwood left fielder was sensational with a .462 batting average, 3 home runs and 13 RBIs. Nenharma also had 4 walks and posted a .548 on-base percentage.
Hitting .318 to date, Nenharma has 14 home runs and 70 RBIs. He has played in 86 games.

| Saturday, July 8th, 2017: Razor-Sharp Legmasher Blanks Erebor
"Durblakh Legmasher is really a good pitcher when he throws strikes early in the count," said his manager after the Greenwood hurler tossed a complete game 6-hit shutout against the Erebor Fire Drakes.
"I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Legmasher. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings."
Legmasher walked 1 and struck out 1 in the 11-0 victory.
Legmasher has made 15 starts this season, posting 8 wins and 4 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .286 against him and he has 27 strikeouts in 94.1 innings with a 4.01 ERA.
