Tuesday, July 18th, 2017: Snowthorns Shut Out Rainbow, Millstone Winner
Kristy Millstone was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Rainbow. He shut them out 2-0 on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks.

The Southfarthing manager said, "Kristy was very aggressive tonight. He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."

The losing manager had praise, too. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well. Millstone has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that offspeed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."

This season-to-date Millstone has 11 wins and 6 losses and a 2.63 ERA.

Sunday, June 11th, 2017: Southfarthing Blanks Rainbow
After his 5-0 shutout win against the Rainbow, Tarbag Ogreripper said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good."

They were better than good as the Snowthorns pitcher put up 4 strikeouts, surrendered 1 walk, allowed 5 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.

So far this season Ogreripper has a record of 4-3 with 37 strikeouts and 26 walks in 95 innings and a 4.17 ERA.

Wednesday, June 7th, 2017: Gorom Sensational, 6-6
"It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Ban Gorom after his 6-hit performance against the Rainbow. "No offense meant to Rhosgobel, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Ballpark of Mithlond!"

The Mithlond catcher had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 6 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 16-7 victory.

His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Ban worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits."

"That's what I'm trying to do," Gorom said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."

B. Gorom hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off B. Cotton in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Gorom is currently hitting at a .340 pace with 5 home runs and 37 RBIs.
